Strategies for Protecting Intellectual Property introduces students to the process of filing a patent application, strategies that strengthen patent claims, and understanding of commercialization. Thecourse uses a combination of lectures and case study presentations to provide students with key concepts. Upon completion of this course, students will have a strong understanding of the patenting process, they will be able to identify the best path for protecting their IP, they will have a framework for writing strong, defensible claims, and they will be able to begin a process of strategic IP asset creation
