I am a biomedicine based postdoctoral researcher in the Lujambio lab. My main interest lies in the process of cellular senescence, a program that imposes a very potent barrier to tumorigenesis. By combining unique mouse models of cancer, CRISPR and RNAi technologies, my aim is to identify the molecular pathways involved in the maintenance of the senescent state and also the impact of their loss on tumorigenesis.
Previous Postdoc Experience:
I obtained my Ph.D. from Autonoma University of Madrid (Spain) characterizing the oncogenic properties of a novel translocation (BCR-JAK2) found in patients with chronic myeloid and acute lymphoid leukemia, under the supervision of Dr. Fernandez-Ruiz and Dr. Rio. I completed my BSc in Biochemistry at Autonoma University of Madrid and I am a native of Madrid, Spain,
