Why you chose ISMMS?
I chose Sinai because of the great mentorship I felt I could receive from the program directors and the research faculty in my area of interest, as well as the warm atmosphere that the other students provided.

My research interests lie at the interface between neuroscience and immunology, and I’m currently studying the effects of ionizing radiation on microglia and the role this exposure plays in modulating the glioblastoma tumor microenvironment.
Undergrad institution and major: University of Florida, Microbiology and Cell Science
What did you do between college and grad school?
After graduating, I spent a year as a Research Technician at Vanderbilt University, studying the effects of stem cells and flavonoids on ischemic stroke outcome.
What do you like to do outside of school?
Sleep, eat, dance
