Why you chose ISMMS?
The presence of researchers whose research interests strongly overlap with mine, the state-of-the-art research facilities, the school’s emphasis on innovation and translational research, and location were the main factors, which led me to choose the ISSMS.
Lab: Slesinger Lab
I study the potential applications of cell-based neurotransmitter fluorescent engineered reporters (CNIFERs).
Undergrad institution and major: I got my undergrad degree at Bilkent University, Ankara. My major was molecular biology and genetics.
What did you do between college and grad school?
I studied cognitive science at Bogazici University, where I received my masters degree. During the same period, I worked as a research assistant in a Psychobiology Lab.
